Overview

Family and friends have endowed this scholarship in memory of the late Leo Cooper-White. Leo was a third year student at the University's School of Visual and Performing Arts (now the School of Creative Arts) when his life was cut short in a tragic accident in March 2011. Leo’s family and the small and close knit community of the School feel his loss very deeply. He had become a friend and close companion to many and continues to be a source of inspiration to the students who are continuing their studies. Leo discovered his passion for the performing arts late in high school. Studying at the School brought Leo into contact with new and exciting influences and areas of the performing arts. During his university studies, Leo’s interest in physical theatre grew, and he expanded his skills and confidence in this area.
