Overview
Professor Emily Hilder has established two scholarships to recognise the positive impact her education at the University of Tasmania has had on her future opportunities. She would like to see all Tasmanians have the same opportunity to study. These scholarships also recognise her father, Alan Hilder OAM, his 30+ years volunteer service to Kennerley and his unwavering belief in the potential in young people to succeed when they are provided the support to do so.
Eligibility
- Available to current and commencing students undertaking any level of study in any discipline at the University of Tasmania.
- Selection will be based on the recipients demonstrated financial need and how the scholarship will help them succeed.
- Preference will be given to students from Kennerley House, The Smith Family learning programs, are under 20 years old, the first in their family to attend University and/or have had to move away from home to study.
On-going Eligibility
- Maintain a minimum enrolment of 25 credit points (part time) for each half year period.
