Overview
The Dr Emese Underwood Scholarship is provided through a generous bequest to the University by the late Dr Emese Underwood. She arrived in Australia from her homeland of Hungary after the outbreak of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 and completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours majoring in History and a PhD at the University of Tasmania. Her subsequent career as a quantity surveyor took her all over the world.
Eligibility
- Available to a student commencing in any Bachelor degree in the School of Arts.
- Selection will be based on financial need and ability to succeed.

- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
