Overview
Mr Mitchel Martin-Weber, a University of Tasmania alumnus, provided a gift to the University of Tasmania Foundation, in the 125 year to endow two scholarships to recognise two former staff members who influenced Mitchel during his time at the University of Tasmania. The late Dr Bruce Felmingham taught in the School of Economics for 35 years and was awarded a Teaching Merit Certificate in 2001 in recognition of this contribution at the University of Tasmania. Dr Felmingham was a Research Fellow at the University and his interests have guided the scholarship.
Eligibility
- Available to a full-time student commencing a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Social Sciences in Semester 1, 2026 who is intending to major in Politics and Policy and be undertaking Introduction to Politics & Policy and Introduction to International Relations in their first year. The scholarship will be provided for the duration of the course. .
- Students who are physically challenged are encouraged to apply.

- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
