Graeme Foster was an educationist for 63 continuous years - 42 with the Department of Education and 21 with the University of Tasmania. Graeme's inspirational leadership and commitment to education in Tasmania has encouraged Mr John Bowden, a director of the UTAS Foundation USA, to establish this scholarship in Graeme Foster's name.
Eligibility
- Available to a student commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate course in education.
- Applicants should have an interest in teaching students in the early years of their education (K-2).
- Preference will be given to a student whose permanent address is in the north-west of Tasmania and who demonstrates financial need.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
