Overview
The purpose of this scholarship is to encourage students into the niche field of Geotechnical Engineering, by supporting students undertaking the Bachelor of Science (Earth Science) and Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) with Honours in Engineering.
Eligibility
- Open to a student enrolling in the second or third year of the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Specialisation) with Honours in Engineering in 2027.
- The successful recipient will intend to specialise in Civil (Engineering) and Earth Science (Science).
- Students who will be converting to the Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Specialisation) with Honours in Engineering from the Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science, and/or have completed the ENG221 in Semester 2, 2026 are encouraged to apply.
- Preference will be given to students who are active members of AusIMM student chapter Engineering Society &/or Geo Society.
- Preference will also be given to students who have had exposure to the farming and/or mining industry, either directly or indirectly.
- The successful recipient may also receive assistance finding relevant summer placements after years two and three through a network of previous geotechnical alumni professionals.
- Students who plan to enter the Geo Tech field through alternative pathways may also be considered on a case-by-case basis.

- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
