Overview

What is the George T Wilson Award?
The George T Wilson Award recognises one Hytten Hall resident each year, typically in their third year or beyond, who reflects the values of George T Wilson, the longest serving Master (Warden) of Hytten Hall (1960-1974).
George believed that education is more than academic achievement; it is about character, community, integrity, and personal growth. This award honours his legacy by celebrating a student whose presence has made Hytten Hall a better place - through their meaningful contributions to the community and demonstrated commitment to resilience, curiosity and continued academic engagement and progress.
The award is open to Hytten Hall residents in their second year or above. Nominees typically demonstrate:
•Academic Engagement: Making progress in studies, achieving academic goals, or showing resilience.
•Community Spirit: Helping peers, participating in events, fostering inclusion and contributing to Hytten Hall life
