Overview
A scholarship has been endowed by the late Mrs Nancy Frederiksen, a long-time resident of Burnie, in memory of her late husband Harry. The award aims to provide opportunities to students with academic potential from the North-West and West coast of Tasmania to study at the University of Tasmania. Harry and Nancy lived in the North-West of Tasmania for many years where Harry pursued his passion for plants and landscape gardening.
Eligibility
- Available to a student from the west or north-west of Tasmania commencing studies in any undergraduate course at the University of Tasmania.
- Selection will be based on financial need.
- Preference will be given to a student who has a keen interest in plants and/or related areas like horticulture.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
