This scholarship is not opening for applications this year.
The late Gerald Loughran was a generous supporter of the University of Tasmania. Gerald and his family established this scholarship to assist students to study in the College of Health and Medicine.
Eligibility
- Available to an undergraduate student commencing studies in the Bachelor of Biomedicine (M3X) in Semester 1, 2026.
- Selection will be determined by demonstration of academic merit and financial need, with preference for a student from the north-west of Tasmania.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
