Overview

This scholarship is not opening for applications this year.

Michael and Kristen Meaney are from Sheffield in Tasmania’s north-west and have set up their scholarship to support local students who require financial assistance to continue their studies at a tertiary level.

Eligibility

  • Available to a student from the West or North West Coast of Tasmania (home postcode from 7304 to 7470) who is commencing a Bachelor degree at the University of Tasmania in Science (including areas such as Agriculture, Engineering, Environmental Science etc), Health or Education.
  • Selection will be based on demonstrated financial need.
  • Preference may be given to students who are the first in family to study at University.

On-going Eligibility

  • Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
