Overview
MinterEllison is Australia's leading independent law firm, enhanced by specialist consulting. MinterEllison has established this scholarship to provide financial support to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student studying Law at the University of Tasmania.
Through its Reconciliation Action Plan, MinterEllison has committed to supporting First Nations people to access tertiary education and to building meaningful employment pathways into the legal profession. This scholarship forms part of that commitment. In addition to financial support, the recipient of the scholarship may access optional mentoring from MinterEllison.
Eligibility
- Available to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student who is continuing study in Bachelor of Laws or a combined degree that includes Bachelor of Laws.
- Optional mentoring support is available from MinterEllison for the duration of the scholarship.
- Selection will be based on demonstrated financial need and demonstrated ability to succeed in the course.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
