MinterEllison is Australia's leading independent law firm, enhanced by specialist consulting. MinterEllison has established this scholarship to provide financial support to a regional student studying Law at the University of Tasmania. Students who are first in family to attend university are strongly encouraged to apply. MinterEllison recognises that students from regional areas can face additional barriers to accessing tertiary education and entering the legal profession. This scholarship aims to provide financial assistance to support a student to succeed in their studies and to pursue a career in law. In addition to financial support, the recipient of the scholarship may access optional mentoring from MinterEllison.
Eligibility
- Available to a regional student who is continuing study in Bachelor of Laws or a combined degree that includes Bachelor of Laws.
- Optional mentoring support is available from MinterEllison for the duration of the scholarship.
- Selection will be based on demonstrated financial need and demonstrated ability to succeed in the course.
- Preference will be given to a student who is first in family to attend university.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
