Overview
Study Abroad and Exchange Scholarships are designed to assist our current students with the costs associated with participating in one of the following Learning Abroad categories:
- Semester Based Study Abroad & Exchange Programs
- Short-Term Study Abroad & Exchange Programs
- Featured Exchange Partner University Programs
- Faculty-led International Programs
- Other approved Learning Abroad Programs
Eligibility
- Available to current students who will be undertaking a Learning Abroad program in the first half of 2027.
- To be eligible, students must have completed at least 50 credit points at the time of their Learning Abroad program start date, and not already receiving an overseas exchange scholarship which exceeds $3,000.
- As part of the selection process, GPA and quality of written application may be taken into consideration.
- Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate that the financial assistance would provide a greater opportunity to engage in their study abroad or exchange.
- Preference will be given to students travelling on a program approved by the Learning Abroad office.
- Preference will be given to students who were enrolled full time at the University of Tasmania in Semester 2, 2026.
