Overview
TasNetworks is a Tasmanian State-owned corporation that supplies power from the generation source to homes and businesses throughout the state. It was formed through a merger of Aurora Energy’s distribution low voltage network and TasNetworks high voltage network and commenced operations on 1 July 2014. TasNetworks wishes to support a scholarship at the University of Tasmania.
Eligibility
- Available to students who will be entering the final two years of study in their degree in Semester 1, 2027.
- Available to current students enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Business or Information and Communication Technology (ICT), including double degrees.
- Preference will be given to applicants enrolled in majors that are most relevant to TasNetworks operations.
- Preference will be given to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students.
- Selection will be based on diversity, the demonstrated ability to succeed in the course and financial need.
- Work experience and graduate program opportunities with TasNetworks may be available to the successful applicant.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
