Overview

TasNetworks is a Tasmanian State-owned corporation that supplies power from the generation source to homes and business throughout the state. It was formed through a merger of Aurora Energy’s distribution low voltage network and TasNetworks high voltage network and commenced operations on 1 July 2014. TasNetworks wishes to support a scholarship at the University of Tasmania.

Eligibility

  • Available to a female student entering third year of an undergraduate engineering degree in Semester 1, 2027.
  • Preference will be given to students majoring in Electrical Engineering.
  • Preference may be given to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students.
  • Selection will be based on academic merit and quality of written application.
  • Work experience opportunities with TasNetworks may be available to the successful applicant.

On-going Eligibility

  • Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester

$7,500 per year
