This scholarship is not opening for applications for Semester 2, 2026.
This scholarship has been established by Waternish, a professional organisation that partners with
water utilities across the country to deliver innovative solutions for their infrastructure needs. Their
experienced team, quality workmanship and state-of-the-art equipment have helped grow a small
SA company to the multistate organisation it is today. The purpose of this scholarship is to support
Tasmanian students who want an exciting hands-on career in Engineering. Graduate pathway
opportunities with Waternish may also be available.
Eligibility
- This Scholarship is available to a student entering their second-year of the Bachelor of Engineering in Semester 1, 2026, who intends to specialise in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Selection will be based on the recipient’s response to the application questions, demonstrated academic capability, and an expressed interest in cultivating a career with practical applications of engineering principles within Tasmania, after graduation.
- Preference will be given to students who can demonstrate financial need.
On-going Eligibility
- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
