Overview
We're offering a limited number of relocation support packages to assist interstate students with the costs of relocating to Tasmania to attend University. There are two support packages from which eligible students are able to select.
Package option 1
$3,000 relocation allowance (cash payment)
Package option 2
$5,000 total: $1,000 relocation allowance (cash payment) plus $4,000 university accommodation subsidy.
For Option 2, the university accommodation subsidy component will be paid directly towards the first year of the on-campus accommodation costs in a single room at one of the Halls of Residence in either Hobart, Launceston or Cradle Coast.
It will be paid directly to Student Living on behalf of the student. To be eligible for the university accommodation subsidy, students must apply for student accommodation with Student Living and cover the application fee and bond (these costs are not covered by this support package).
Eligibility
Available to interstate domestic and NZ students to assist with the costs of relocating to Tasmania to commence full-time study in February 2022 in any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
On-going Eligibility
To retain the relocation allowance (cash payment) component, recipients are required to be enrolled full time (75% study load) in their first study period.
