Early Acceptance Scholarship

Annual reduction in tuition fees.

This scholarship covers 15% of registered tuition fees for the duration of study up to a maximum of four years. Applicants must have an offer for an eligible course commencing in Semester 2, 2026.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Be classified as an International Student as defined under the Application rules of the University of Tasmania.
  • Must be enrolled full-time in an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree. The following courses are excluded:
    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Nautical Science)
    • Bachelor of Applied Science (Marine Engineering)
    • Master of Physiotherapy
    • Master of Speech Pathology
    • Master of Occupational Therapy

  • Not be a student from a Transnational Education (TNE) partner affiliated with the University of Tasmania.
  • Not be in receipt of any other University of Tasmania scholarship or any external sponsorship.
  • Not be commencing at the University of Tasmania through an articulation agreement with a partner institution.
  • Be commencing the first year of their program in Semester 2 2026.
  • Apply for your course and accept your offer, meet all conditions and make your deposit payment by the following dates:

Apply

Students are assessed automatically upon submission of their International Student Application so there is no need to apply separately. Offer letters will notify applicants if they have been awarded the scholarship.

The scholarship recipient must not be in receipt of any other University of Tasmania scholarship or any external sponsorship.

To be assessed for the Early Acceptance Scholarship eligibility you first need to apply to study at the University of Tasmania by the dates specified above.

Study Abroad and Exchange international students undertaking short-term academic studies for a 6 or 12 month period at the University are not eligible to receive any international student scholarship or bursary.

The online application system will not allow you to submit your application unless you have filled in all the required fields. Once you have completed your application, a submit button will appear.

Once you click on the submit button you and/or your agent representative will receive a system-generated email advising your application has successfully been submitted. Please keep a copy of this email for your records.
