This prize was established by the Philipian Association (consisting of past students of the Teachers’ College, Hobart) and other persons who knew the late John Andrew Johnson, M.A. (sometime Principal of that College and Lecturer in Education in the University of Tasmania).
Awarded to the graduate who has shown the greatest proficiency in Professional Studies units in the Master of Teaching.
