Overview
This prize is offered by the Launceston Friendly Society Pharmacy Ltd to a nursing graduate who demonstrates good bedside manner. The prize was established in 2004 to celebrate 125 years of care by the Launceston Friendly Society Pharmacy for the health of people in Launceston and surrounding districts.
Eligibility
Awarded to a student, studying at the Launceston Campus, who
is undertaking a Bachelor of Nursing course. The prize will be awarded by a
selection committee comprising the Head of School of Nursing or a nominee, and
a member of academic staff responsible for the coordination of clinical
rotations in the undergraduate program in the School of Nursing. The prize is
to be awarded to a student who in the opinion of the selection committee best
demonstrates clinical competence and the values of care, concern and compassion
for patients during NUR135, NUR239, NUR242, NUR358 undertaken in the Bachelor
of Nursing course.
