This prize was established by Doctors FR and PW Fay and Mrs GL Roberts to honour the memory of their father Frank W Fay, MC and bar, MBBS (Melb), who died in 1969 after a distinguished surgical career in Hobart commencing in 1923 when he came to Tasmania from Melbourne.
Awarded annually to the applicant who presents the best publication-standard systematic review of a surgical topic, as judged by a panel of surgeons that includes the Professor of Surgery.
