Overview

Established in 2018 and named after Tasmania's highest mountain peak, the Ossa Musical Performance Prize is generously provided by Dr Rod Roberts, alumnus of the University of Tasmania, and Mrs Cecile Roberts.

The Prize supports a Graduate or an Undergraduate student and/or an ensemble in pursuing excellence in musicianship and performance, and underwrites a state-wide performance tour, with a special focus on the North and North West and East Coast regions.

Eligibility

All styles of music will be eligible for selection. Applicants must be enrolled in a full-time course (minimum 37.5 percent) at the Conservatorium of Music, University of Tasmania.
The Prize will be awarded to the best individual/applicant, however the individual performer may be accompanied by piano, or by no more than two additional players three performers in total.

Amount

$5,000, plus additional financial support for costs associated with the state-wide tour.
