Overview
The late Sir Victor Burley was one of Tasmania's most celebrated engineers. A graduate of the University of Tasmania, he had a lifelong involvement in tertiary education in Tasmania and a passion for music. His family has endowed this scholarship to encourage the development of advanced music skills, especially in the classical music area.
Eligibility
Awarded to a student who has successfully completed at least one year of the Bachelor of Music at the University of Tasmania.
The student needs to have demonstrated potential to succeed in their chosen area of classical music study as evidenced in overall performance in the units taught by the School.
Available to a student studying in the Classical Performance or Classical Composition streams.
