Overview
This prize was first established by the Tasmanian Historical Research Association (THRA) in 1957, with the value of 5 guinea towards books. In 2024 THRA continues to offer this prize to budding historians, now in honour of the Associations long-time member, contributor and Patron, Michael Roe. Eligibility
Awarded to the student with the highest achievement in Australian History (HTA206 Australian History in 2026) who has earned a minimum grade of Distinction in that unit.
Amount
$500 and a 12-month membership with the Tasmanian Historical Research Association. (Membership to be organised with THRA directly)
