Overview
In 1982 the University Council agreed to a proposal that money saved by departments as a consequence of its energy conservation programme be passed to the departments involved. The value of the energy saved by the departments located in the Humanities wing of the Arts, Economics and Commerce Building was used to endow this prize.
Eligibility
Awarded to the student who has shown the best performance in English units comprising at 200 level.
This prize rotates on an annual basis between disciplines within the College of Arts, Law and Education.
