This prize was founded by certain friends of the late Lyndhurt Falkiner Giblin, D.S.O., M.C., M.A. Cantab., in commemoration of his distinguished contribution to Australian and Tasmanian society through public service and academic work in the field of economics.
Awarded to a student enrolled in a Sociology major, with at least a Distinction average in a minimum of two Sociology units at 200 level.
