Overview
This prize was established by colleagues, friends and former students of Edward Stokes, a member of the Department of English of the University of Tasmania from 1946 until his retirement in 1981.
Eligibility
Awarded to the student in the study of level 200 and/or level 300 English, showing the greatest proficiency in units involving a substantial study of American fiction. The student must have received a Distinction or better and not previously presented for examination in the unit(s) concerned.
