This prize was founded in 1934 by Mrs James Murray in commemoration of her parents, Charles Henry Grant and Jane Grant.
Awarded based on academic achievement in the first year of study in the Bachelor of Laws, College of Arts, Law and Education. This award rotates annually between CALE, Science & Engineering, and Business.
