This prize was established when the late Percy Ash, of Tasmania, by his Will, bequeathed the sum of £1000 to the University of Tasmania to be applied for the advancement of the study of Chemistry.
Awarded to the best second year Chemistry student who: is enrolled as a full-time student and passes all the subjects in which they are enrolled that year; and, indicates their intention of enrolling in a major in Chemistry at the University of Tasmania.
