This prize was established in 1970 when Edith Rita McArthur of Fellsgarth, Bicheno, bequeathed a sum of money to the University, endowing a prize in Mathematics.
Awarded to the student with the greatest proficiency in the fourth year Honours course with first class honours, offered by the Discipline of Mathematics.
