The University of Tasmania Sustainability Committee monitors and evaluates sustainability improvements across the university through key performance indicators.
- The University became the first Australasian STARS rated institution, achieving a Silver rating in August 2020. Over 1,000 universities worldwide use the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS) to help guide and share their sustainability activities. We are on track and working hard to achieve a Gold rating in 2022 while putting in place programs, guidelines, and approaches that will ensure these changes are here for the long term and provide the holistic base that will support our continuing sustainability journey.
