2026 International Green Gown Award Winners

The Tasmanian Policy Exchange won the 2025 Australasian Green Gown award for the category of 'benefiting society' for their work translating policy research into action. In 2026, the TPE went on to win the international award for this category.

What the judges said:

"An outstanding submission demonstrating a mature and highly impactful approach to translating university expertise into meaningful societal benefit. The judges were particularly impressed by the strength of the institutional approach, its relevance to real-world challenges and the potential for wider application. The initiative demonstrated strong leadership, engagement and a compelling connection between academic expertise and positive societal outcomes. Its overall quality, ambition and potential for lasting and transferable impact made it a highly deserving winner."
