TasWater's vision is to be a trusted and respected provider of essential services, making a positive difference to Tasmania. As such, TasWater supports the University of Tasmania’s scholarship program to make a positive impact on Tasmanian students and the broader community.
This scholarship aims to ease the financial burdens associated with pursuing Higher Education, and to provide the right recipients with networking and mentoring opportunities.
TasWater is committed to providing career pathway opportunities to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students who are passionate about a future career within Tasmania. To further this commitment, scholarship recipients are encouraged to apply for the TasWater Graduate program upon completion.
Eligibility
- The scholarship is available to an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student enrolling in a Bachelor or Associate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or Business.
- Full and Part time enrolled students are encouraged to apply.
- The successful award recipient will be residing in Tasmania.
- Financial need may also be considered during the selection process.
- TasWater aims to provide recipients with additionally opportunities for further support, engagement and mentoring through optional work experience.
