About Investigator Hall
Investigator Hall offers a welcoming, dormitory-style living experience that’s ideal for first-year students looking to transition into university life. With shared bathrooms and kitchen facilities, it provides plenty of opportunities to meet people, build friendships, and feel part of a supportive community.
Female-only hallways create an added sense of comfort, while the maritime atmosphere, enhanced by its proximity to the Australian Maritime College on the Newnham campus, gives it a unique character. Residents also benefit from parking (permits available for purchase) and a free bus service to the Inveresk campus, making it both social and convenient.
Set on a scenic 50-hectare campus with stunning Tamar River views, it’s just a short drive from Launceston’s city centre and within walking distance of local shops. Home to the Australian Maritime College, our Newnham campus continues to offer world leading maritime simulation and teaching facilities.
Applications for 2027 are open.
