Welcome to the University Club!

The University Club is located in Dobson Road on the Sandy Bay Campus, just down from the School of Chemistry Building. It provides a pleasant environment for members to enjoy a morning coffee and tasty lunches.

The Coffee Lounge is open from 9.30 am to 11.30 am each day. Members are issued with a loyalty card which gives a free coffee for every five that are purchased. Lunches are served from 12.00 noon through to 2.00 pm.

Membership is open to all staff of the University, visitors and others associated with the University, Honours and graduate students. Partners of members can also join the Club. Many members continue their membership well after their retirement from employment at the University.

Members can sign in guests. However, a guest can only be signed in for a very limited number of occasions if they are entitled to be members in their own right.

Each year the Club arranges several special events for members. These include a St Patrick’s Day lunch, a Mid-year Dinner, and the very popular Melbourne Cup lunch on the first Tuesday of November. More details of these events can be found on the Events page.

The Club’s caterer is the Pickled Pear headed by Chris Delpero. Chris and her team provide the lunch and coffee services and can cater for University and other events. All arrangements for the use of the Club’s facilities, including booking rooms for meetings, should be made through Chris on 6226 2493 or via email.
