Paper Submission Instruction

Important Dates

All deadlines are at the end of the day specified, anywhere on Earth (UTC-12).

  • Extended Submission deadline for Full-Length Papers: 30 June 2024 extended to 28 July 2024
  • Notification of Acceptance for Full-Length Papers: 20 August 2024
  • Full Paper Registration: 5 September 2024 extended to 8 September 2024
  • Camera Ready & Copyrights for Full-Length Papers: 10 September 2024
  • Deadline for Simple Abstracts (to be included in the symposium program): 31 August 2024 30 September 2024 (Abstract can be submitted after this date but will not be included in the symposium program)
  • Abstract Notification: 10 September 2024 within one week after submission
  • Abstract Registration (to be included in the symposium program): 20 September 2024 15 October 2024

Paper Submission Instruction

For accepted papers, a blank Copyright Transfer Form is available for download. Please download and fill this form according to the submission instructions for accepted papers as provided in the notification email.

Various contributions are welcome by KSS2024:

  • Full-length papers may be up to 15 pages in length including references. Papers should be submitted electronically using the Conference Management Tool in PDF format and formatted using the Springer CCIS template. Submitted papers must not be published or under consideration to be published elsewhere. Please include a 150 word abstract and 3-6 keywords best describing the paper. Author instructions can be downloaded at https://www.springer.com/gp/computer-science/lncs/conference-proceedings-guidelines. The LaTeX templates are available in Overleaf for service.

    All full-length submission will be double-blinded reviewed by at least 3 technical committee members. Please do remove information, such as authors names, affiliations, email addresses, from the manuscripts. Cross-similarity check will also be conducted under Springer's requirements. Submission with high cross similarity will be rejected directly. The KSS2024 proceedings will be published by Springer as one CCIS (Communications in Computer and Information Science) volume. Past KSS proceedings are available at Springer.

    At this category, long abstract no less than 2 pages with keywords and references will also be reviewed simultaneously together with full papers. Based on the review comments, some long abstracts will be recommended to extended to full-length papers and submitted to Journal of Systems Science and Information (open-access) for quick review and publication. This mode provides longer time for submission response.

  • Simple Abstracts Please submit one A4-sized with less than 1000 words to describe your research or practice. This item is for those who just want to make a presentation at KSS2024. All accepted abstracts with registered authors will be included in the brochure provided to all KSS2024 participants in print. The abstract submission at the Conference Management Tool will be reopened after full-length paper notification.
