Teacher as Planner Assessor & Reporter EMT508

Introduction

In this unit the various roles a teacher plays, including planner, assessor and reporter, are considered. These roles are interconnected and vital for effective learning in contemporary educational contexts. You will be introduced to big-picture planning (nation, state & school-wide) as well as planning class units of work. You will develop an understanding of the principles and practices of reporting to students, parents and other stakeholders and demonstrate a critical understanding of assessment as/of/for learning. This unit provides opportunities to establish clear links between theoretical underpinnings of reporting/assessment/planning and professional practice
