Students should be situated in an emergency setting. This unit uses group work and late enrolment may affect your ability to participate actively.

Introduction

This unit builds on your clinical assessment and management skills by examining emergency presentations in acutely unwell adult and paediatric patients. You will develop the knowledge and skills to practice as an emergency nurse able to critically assess, interpret and respond to the patient's condition using advanced problem solving skills.
