Introduction

In this unit, you will develop and learn how to adapt pedagogical practices for teaching across the curriculum in secondary school contexts. You will critically examine the Australian Curriculum and relevant TASC-accredited senior secondary courses, making comparisons and connections between subject and learning area specific pedagogical frameworks and strategies. Together, we will evaluate a broad range of pedagogies and consider possibilities for their cross-curricula application, alongside how to access, critically evaluate and make informed determinations regarding the quality of curriculum resources. From this, you will develop versatility in curricular and pedagogical discourse and create a professional learning plan to build your curriculum, content, and pedagogical knowledge in an unfamiliar teaching area.
