My Healthy Lunch

Description: Whole class activity involving students organising, planning and sharing a healthy lunch together. Students learnt about the five food groups, cost of foods, easy methods of preparing food, food choices and variety when creating interesting and enjoyable lunches. They designed posters about the different food groups, and created a replica of a healthy lunch from different craft materials.

Measures of Success: Students can identify the five food groups and different ways of preparing food; students can identify the cost of different foods; students can identify healthy foods and different combinations of foods to make a healthy lunch.
