Description: Whole class program based on the health benefits of outdoor play. The program provided opportunities for children to develop motor, sensory, social and cognitive skills and engage in play to support their wellbeing. Benefits of these skills include self-awareness and managing risk, creative thinking and language development, managing social and emotional interactions, general fitness, coordination and muscle development, and respecting the environment.
Measures of Success: Students can demonstrate self-awareness, cooperation and coordination skills to participate in the activities safely; children will show respect for the environment and each other in the games they devise; children will experience a strong sense of wellbeing.
