Woolworths Discovery Tour

Description: Prep class visited Woolworths supermarket to do the 'Fresh Food Kids Discovery Tour'. Students explored different fruits and vegetables and learnt about different vitamins and minerals contained in each one. They selected a range of different coloured fruits and vegetables based on the rainbow of healthy foods and tasted them. They used different words to describe the taste and did drawings of their 'rainbow' selection.
Measures of Success: Students are able to identify healthy fruits and vegetables; they can describe what they taste like and identify vitamins and minerals in their selected items.
