IT Service Desk

The University of Tasmania's IT Service Desk provides support to all staff and students on campus and online

For personal computers (not issued / owned by the University), please ensure that your operating system is up to date.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide support for:

  • Apple computers running older than macOS 10.15 Catalina.
  • Windows machines running older than 8.1. We recommend you run a current version of Windows 10 or 11.

Opening Hours

Weekdays: 8am to 6pm (6am to 4pm Beijing Time)

Weekends and public holidays: 10am to 1pm (8am to 11am Beijing Time)

Christmas Break: We will be closed on the following days:
Saturday 25 December 2021
Saturday 1 January 2022
For the remaining days 26 December 2021 to 3 January 2022 the Service Desk will be open as per our Weekends and public holidays hours.


Face to face assistance hours are currently 10am to 1pm (Except public holidays & Christmas Break)
