Safety, security and wellbeing

In addition to on-site security and maintenance, we provide residents in our accommodation with technology, training and support to build a culture of physical and personal safety. Our support services also include health and wellbeing, study skills development, career guidance, and more.

The University of Tasmania is part of the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) which provides affordable living for students who meet the requirements. We offer accommodation under the scheme in Hobart, Launceston and on the Cradle Coast, alongside other options.

Sydney

The University does not provide any dedicated accommodation on the Sydney Campus, however students are able to access different providers within close proximity to the University.

How to apply

Applying for accommodation is easy and can be done online. To get started, register for an account and then follow the steps on the online form.

Residents are required to reapply every year. However, if you want to keep your room, we'll always do our best to accommodate that.
