Assessments include discussion board activities, quizzes, oral presentations and written assignments.

The Diploma is particularly relevant for carers, aged care and community health workers, and anyone with an interest in learning more about dementia. It’s suitable for those with or without formal qualifications, offered fully online, and you can study without tuition fees. You’ll develop a deep understanding so that you can make a positive difference to the lives of people living with dementia.

Study without tuition fees

For domestic students commencing study in Semester 1, 2022, we are pleased to offer the Diploma of Dementia Care with 100% HECS waiver.

The 100% HECS waivers will be honoured through to graduation of the Diploma of Dementia Care, meaning you can complete the entire Diploma without tuition fees.

Career opportunities

Graduates may find work in a range of career paths within the aged care industry, in both the public and private sectors. This course provides graduates with the knowledge to make a difference in the health and community sector in a range of roles which will be critical in delivering enhanced capacity to a sector which is facing an enormous challenge.

They can also transition into further study in graduate health programs. If you have a background in healthcare, community service or allied health, these courses will broaden your knowledge and scope of practice.
