Overview
This endowed scholarship is offered in honour of the late Professor George Wade, a respected plant pathologist who established the School of Agricultural Science at the University of Tasmania in 1962. His 19-year leadership largely shaped the school as it is today. A gift from Professor Wade provided a nucleus for the award along with generous gifts from the Wade Family, friends, colleagues, industry and the University of Tasmania Foundation to continue the legacy of George Wade in inspiring talented students of Agricultural Science.
Eligibility
- Available to a student commencing first year in the Bachelor of Agricultural Science in Semester 1, 2024.
- Selection will based on academic merit and quality of written application.

- Achieve a minimum Pass result in all units studied each semester
