About this series
Artificial intelligence is changing how we work, make decisions and deliver value. Navigating that change takes more than knowing how to use the latest tools. It requires the confidence to question AI, the judgement to understand its opportunities and limitations, and the capability to use and adopt it responsibly.
Navigate AI is a practical, evidence-based learning series developed by the University of Tasmania, drawing on subject matter expertise in information and communication technology to help individuals and organisations build the confidence, judgement and practical capability needed to thrive in an AI-enabled workplace. Rather than focusing on a single technology or platform, Navigate AI develops transferable knowledge, judgement and practical skills that remain relevant as AI continues to evolve.
Whether you're looking to use AI more effectively in your own work or helping your organisation decide how AI should be adopted, governed and improved, Navigate AI provides practical learning you can apply to your context.
The series currently offers two complementary courses: Navigate AI Essentials: Responsible Use in Practice and Navigate AI for Leaders: Governance and Strategy.
Build the confidence and practical skills to use AI effectively and responsibly in your everyday work. Explore AI fundamentals, human-AI interaction, data literacy, ethical decision-making and practical AI use, while learning to critically evaluate AI outputs and make informed decisions about when and how to use AI.
Take an organisational perspective on AI. Learn how to identify opportunities for AI to create value, understand and manage risk, establish responsible governance, plan for adoption and workforce change, and evaluate AI initiatives over time. Designed for anyone leading, influencing or supporting AI adoption, the course focuses on the decisions and practical frameworks needed to navigate AI responsibly across an organisation.
Flexible, fully online learning
Both courses are fully online and self-paced, giving you the flexibility to learn when and where it suits you. You’ll have access to all course materials for six months from the date you register.
Assessment is through online quizzes, and upon successful completion of the course, you’ll receive a digital certificate of completion.
