Before beginning their course of study for the degree of BEnvDes(Hons) students shall have:

1. Qualified for admission to the degree of Bachelor of Environmental Design (BEnvDes) in this University or qualified for admission to a degree in another design course in a tertiary institution approved by the College of Sciences and Engineering; and
2. Achieved an Average Weighted Mark of at least 60% in the units of the final year of the BEnvDes course or an equivalent design course in another tertiary institution approved by the College.

Admission is conditional on research project and supervisor availability.

Admission to Honours courses at the University of Tasmania require qualifications equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree. Applicants must achieve the required grade in their qualifying studies, meet any prerequisite subjects and the English language requirements to be eligible for an offer, as detailed below.

English Language Requirements

This degree requires an IELTS (Academic) of 6.0 (no individual band less than 6.0).

For students who do not meet the English Language Requirement through citizenship or prior studies in English in an approved country, evidence of an approved English language test completed within the last 2 years must be provided.
