Our courses include diplomas and pathway courses, such as the University Preparation Program and the Diploma of University Studies. The range of diploma awards offered by University College not only provides tailored education to enter specific professions, but delivers the knowledge and skills needed to easily transfer from one career to another throughout the course of employment.

Our bridging and enabling programs, like the University Preparation Program or Diploma of University Studies, are great starting points if you're looking for a supportive way to begin your study journey. We also offer a variety of undergraduate certificates and diplomas in areas like health, agribusiness and technology.

Pathway into further study

Our range of pathway programs can provide you with a direct pathway into a University of Tasmania bachelor's degree. Through these programs, you may receive up to two years credit into a specified bachelor's degree. This means you can complete your bachelor's degree without needing to study for longer than necessary.

Pathway to a career

Graduation from a diploma can provide an entry opportunity for those seeking work in industry. Through the embedded hands-on learning nature of the diploma, you'll graduate work ready with the ability to apply discipline knowledge in the workplace.

Industry links

Many of our courses, particularly our diplomas, offer links to Tasmanian industry and businesses. You will have the opportunity to directly engage with these industries through participation in work placements and hands-on learning.

Supportive learning environment

We understand that entering higher education can be daunting for many students. We offer a flexible, supportive learning environment, with friendly and approachable staff. Additionally, support staff help to ensure your transition into higher education is a smooth one.

Full-time or part-time study

Our courses offer full-time or part-time study options, allowing you the flexibility to find the right balance between work, life and study. It is even possible to switch between full-time and part-time during the duration of your course to better suit your circumstances.

Flexible delivery

Students have different needs when it comes to learning, which is why we offer a range of delivery methods, including online, face-to-face and blended delivery (a combination of face-to-face and online). Our courses allow you to tailor your learning to suit your individual needs and interests.
