Student Hardship Fund

Help Students Stay on Track

As cost-of-living pressures continue to affect households across Tasmania, many University of Tasmania students are struggling to afford everyday essentials.

The 2026 UTAS Student and Staff Sustainability Survey found that more than half of students experience food insecurity, with many regularly skipping meals because they cannot afford enough food.

By making a gift to the Student Hardship Fund you will help provide food security initiatives, emergency assistance and other essential support that reduces financial stress and helps students stay focused on their studies.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps students remain healthy, connected and able to continue their education.

Your support can make an immediate difference. Thank you.

Staff of the University of Tasmania may wish to set up workplace giving by completing an Employee Deduction Form.
